Awards season in Hollywood has come to an official close with the telecast of the 87th Annual Academy Awards last Sunday, so I thought I’d weigh in with my Top 5 Favorite Motion Pictures of all time.
But when I sat down to make my list, I realized how absolutely impossible this task was!
So, for the final Friday in February, you’re getting a “double-feature”! 🙂
Here are my Top 5 Favorite Motion Pictures in the Drama AND Action/Adventure categories:
Drama No. 5 : The King’s Speech (2010)
Drama No. 4 : The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Drama No. 3 : The Notebook (2004)
Drama No. 2 : Titanic (1997)
Drama No. 1 : Pride & Prejudice (2005)
Action/Adventure No. 5 : Catch Me If You Can (2002)
Action/Adventure No. 4 : Top Gun (1986)
Action/Adventure No. 3 : Rocky IV (1985)
Action/Adventure No. 2 : The Matrix (1999)
Action/Adventure No. 1 : The Lord of the Rings (trilogy) (2001, 2002, 2003)
What about you, friend? What nail-biting, tear-jerker, edge-of-your-seat movies make you want to break out the Goobers and Red Vines for a Red Box weekend?

The BOURNE series will have me putting the laundry off for another day. Don’t let it be on tv for marathon Saturday. DND!
TAKEN is also another one that takes priority over household chores. Let it be known I’ve seen all 3 in the theater. “Good luck”
